The School of Music, established in 1997 as a ministry of Second Baptist Church, offers private music lessons for both children and adults (beginning, intermediate, and advanced-level instruction). Students can learn various instruments, including piano, voice, guitar, drums/percussion, strings, woodwinds, and brass. The faculty comprises some of the area's top Christian musicians, dedicated to nurturing both the musical and spiritual growth of their students. Summer 2026 Structure and Fees
The School of Music offers a Summer Session with 6 lessons over 8 weeks to allow for
student or teacher absences.
Summer registrations have an administrative fee of $10:
Summer (June 1 – July 23): 6 Lessons
30-minute lessons: $180 (also payable 2 x $90)
45-minute lessons: $270 (also payable 2 x $135 )
60-minute lessons: $360 (also payable 2 x $180)
The first tuition payment is due on or before the first lesson. The final tuition payment is due by July 10.
Tuition is payable online at the "Pay Tuition" button below by credit card or you may drop off a check at the Welcome Center in the lobby.
