The School of the Arts (SOTA), established in 1997 as a ministry of Second Baptist Church, offers private music lessons for both children and adults (beginning, intermediate, and advanced-level instruction). Students can learn various instruments, including piano, voice, guitar, drums/percussion, strings, woodwinds, and brass. The faculty comprises some of the area's top Christian musicians, dedicated to nurturing both the musical and spiritual growth of their students. SOTA's mission is to teach and develop learners to play music for the glory of God.

Summer 2025 Structure and Fees
SOTA offers a Summer semester with 6 lessons over 7 weeks to allow for student or teacher absences.
Summer registrations have a one-time-per-year administrative fee of $10:
Summer (June – July): 6 Lessons
30-minute lessons: $182 (also payable 2 x $91)
45-minute lessons: $274 (also payable 2 x $137)
60-minute lessons: $364 (also payable 2 x $182)
Tuition is due each semester and is payable online at the "Pay Tuition" button below by credit card, or you may drop off a check at the Welcome Center in the lobby. You may also send your payment by mail to SOTA's office:
