Still Searching for the King

This week, Pastor Jim walks us through 2 Samuel 24, where David orders a census of Israel and quickly realizes that he has sinned against God. As a result, David is faced with the consequences of his decision and must once again depend on the mercy of the Lord. In the middle of judgment, David repents, builds an altar, and offers a sacrifice to God. This chapter reminds us that our choices have consequences, true repentance requires humility, and even in judgment, God is merciful and worthy of our trust.
