The Meaning of Mercy

This week, Pastor Jim walks us through 2 Samuel 8–9, where we see David faithfully leading Israel as God gives him victory wherever he goes. In the midst of his success, David remembers his covenant with Jonathan and extends unexpected kindness to Mephibosheth, welcoming him to the king’s table. These chapters remind us that God’s blessings are meant to overflow into the lives of others and that His covenant love is shown through grace and compassion. Like Mephibosheth, we have been shown undeserved kindness and invited into the King’s presence.
